Hi, I’m Amelia Abar, a writer, interviewer, and passionate advocate for women’s stories and rights. My journey into storytelling and activism began long before She Speaks - it started with Ameliaration, a blog and podcast I launched in late 2023, where I explored everything from personal reflections to cultural critiques. But as I grew, so did my vision.

As a chapter lead for the Young Feminist Party, I’ve worked to amplify the voices of women and marginalized communities, championing intersectional feminist as a force for change. Living in Metro Detroit, I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of local movements, community leaders, and everyday change makers. Their stories - raw, resilient, and revolutionary - deserve to be told.

That’s why She Speaks was born; to create a dedicated space for women’s narratives, activism, and conversations that matter. Through interviews, essays, and deep dives into women’s issues, this blog and podcast will spotlight the voices that shape our world.
